Italy has always had a special charm for the American public: a patchwork of landscapes, traditions and culture that makes every region unique. This magnetism has also won over Samantha Brown, the famous presenter of the TV programme Places to Love, one of the most popular and followed travel shows shown on the nationwide PBS network in the United States.
For a new episode, the production team chose Modena and its surroundings, with the goal of highlighting its many features in a report combining art, food & drink and cars & motorbikes. The unmissable stops naturally also include the Stanguellini Museum, the guardian of history weaving together the region’s passion, innovation and identity. The aim is not just to showcase iconic places, but also to convey their spirit and the passion of the local people.
The project, coordinated by APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna and the Bologna-Modena Tourism Region with the DMOs ModenaTur and Bologna Welcome, is an important chance for international visibility towards a well-informed, attentive audience.

The Stanguellini Museum stars
We are honoured to have been chosen as one of the main features of the episode. We welcomed the Places to Love crew in June, guided by our excellent hostess: Francesca Stanguellini.
A genuine dialogue immediately opened up between Francesca and Samantha Brown, with their female sensitivity and passion for their work. This understanding led to a natural interview, helped by the excellent linguistic mediation by the interpreter Laura.
Throughout their conversation, Francesca shared the story of her family and the Stanguellini car manufacturer, not only talking about the glorious past, but also the present and future of the Motor Valley.
The tour ended with a special moment: Francesca accompanied Samantha in a Barchetta 750 sports car to the Tenuta del Cigno farm owned by the Malpighi family, where the presenter discovered the secrets of Modena’s “black gold”: traditional balsamic vinegar.

Waiting for the show to air
The episode on Modena and the Stanguellini Museum will be aired in early 2026 (exact date TBC), bringing the outstanding features of our region into the homes of millions of American viewers.
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved for their cooperation and priceless support during these busy yet exciting months of preparation!
